What is Life Coaching?

Coaching is a powerful and effective way to make real change happen to you. Lasting, positive change both in and out of work.
kilimanjaro climbing
It’s for anyone who wants to lead a more purposeful, more fulfilling, more successful and stress free life. The first session is free, with no obligation. Why not give it a try?
Life coaching can also be of great help in the following areas:
rubber car mats

Career Development / Change / Reasessment
Moving on from Depression
Help with Relationships e.g. better understanding / moving on / re-building
Weight Loss
Self Image & Self Confidence
Lifestyle Change
Increasing Satisfaction & Inner Peace
Team Building

How is Coaching used?

Life is a bit like a puzzle; each separate piece on its own having little meaning but together forming the perfect picture. You could say that each aspect of our life, home, work, family, career, relationships; represents one piece of our jigsaw and together make up a complete picture.

Sometimes we need help planning and working our way through the myriad of choices we face in this modern day. Much like a doctor helps us with our physical issues, a life coach will help us with our emotional and professional issues. Life coaching provides a perspective that it is often difficult to see without an objective view.

“Soon a coach will be seen as someone you have as a matter of course to make
your life run more efficiently, like an accountant”

About Rachel Denyer

Rachel Denyer is a trained Life Coach with a Certificate and a Diploma in Life Coaching from the Newcastle College program, designed by Life Coach, Fiona Harrold.

Rachel has been involved in Life Coaching since 1999 when she decided she needed to give her life more focus. Driven by a series of personal difficulties Rachel decided to turn her life around. She decided to start practising a life of gratitude—being grateful for the small family she had and building on her talents in life.

Rachel successfully gained a highly sought after place at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts on the Management degree program. Three years of hard work and determination led to a first class degree with honours. For her final paper, Rachel wrote about life coaching in relation to the industry. Rachel was then asked to contribute to a guide to good practice for a coaching and mentoring project commissioned by a European Union Initiative.

Within two weeks of the graduation ceremony Rachel was employed by the largest entertainment company in the world to work as a manager in the theatre division. Rachel’s direct coaching style proved to be very effective. Rachel also took a place on the management training program with the company. This developed her coaching skills further and helped her to become the coach she is today.

Rachel decided to set up “The Positive Coach” as she has a real and passionate desire to help people.

I have experienced a lot of pain in my life but more importantly a tremendous amount of love and happiness—I have the ability to find pleasure in the simplest things, something we are all capable of. I believe that life is extremely precious and we should not take a moment for granted. Be grateful for all you have got and the universe will reward you.

 How does Life Coaching work?

The first session with a life coach begins with a review of the situation – your life. You will be asked to fill out a series of questionnaires that will help define where you are in life, what needs sorting out and what you want to get out of the coaching experience. These questions will open up your mind and get you thinking about yourself in a way that is probably new to you. They are meant to take you to the root of the issues, which is sometimes buried beneath a lot of hang-ups, insecurities and guilt.

After the initial session we will take some time to establish which areas of your life could benefit from changes. We will then review where you are now in relation to the goal and tackle any obstacles that may be blocking the way. Then we will work together to set realistic and achievable goals and drive you forward to achieve a more balanced, fulfilled and happy life.

“There will be some highs and lows but I will be there to see you through to the end of the journey – where you will finally begin to fulfill your potential”
